We’re off to Maui tomorrow morning (Mon, Jan 18) through Thursday, Jan 21. Not taking my laptop, so I’ll be filling in our adventures when we get back.

Dropped a note on Facebook tonight in case anyone’s reading there about how much more fun vacations are if you have a local boyfriend HA HA . In my first blog post here, I mentioned that I met a nice gent the first day I was here. So his name is Phil and we’ve been seeing each other since then. He took me out to Wahoo’s (not a UVa restaurant!) tonight, where I had a delicious sea bass with pesto. And chocolate for dessert. I mean really, what’s the point otherwise?

OK — I think I am caught up. I love the view from Tammie’s house and I want to see rainbows in the surf. I think you are on my vacation by mistake 🙂 There is a sleety wintery mix falling right now here and I am COLD! I leave the 31st to Miami for 4 days and can’t wait. Hope to find out what day my appointment is in Denver this week so maybe you’ll still have your tan when I come visit. Hope Maui was great. We were in Lahaina — had a good burger there and loved the huge trees, but it was rainy. Alas. Looking forward to your update!! PS The Christmas cactus have been blooming since Thanksgiving and are just now on their last blooms. I always think of you!
